KAMCHATKA VOLCANISM

TRAVEL TO KAMCHATKA - 2020
The land that amazes and delights at every step you take!
Crabs and wine for lunch. A thermal pool under a sky dotted with bright stars. A beach with volcanic sand. Our journey began.
Colorful fumarolic fields, a canyon, waterfalls and lava flows. We drove over 500 km in Japanese jeeps and took lots of pictures!
We walked through endless cinder fields and a dead forest. We stayed at a neat glamping site in the middle of the dead forest and admired the vast night sky full of stars.
We climbed the hot cone of the northern part of the Great Tolbachik's eruption in 1975 and visited the lava caves.
We devoured crab meat, went on a boat trip to see the Ancient Murrelet Island in Avacha Bay, and tried our hand at fishing!
